Domi Station: A Look at Our First Year

On behalf of my partners Jake Kiker, David Lawson and John Vecchio, I want to thank everyone that made this year a success. When we started this journey, I knew the timing was right--that much was evident by the hundreds of people that attended our Soft Launch in November of 2013. But if you would have told me that we would have more than 30 companies, 150 members and hosted over 130 events, I would have bet against you.

When I look back now, I am not surprised. We have tremendous talent in this area working tirelessly every day to create a sustainable startup community. Tallahassee's startup community has emerged out of incredible collaboration between so many public and private partners. Without their generous support we would not be growing at this rate. I want to thank Leon County and Florida State University for leading the way with their commitment and all the other sponsors and supporters that have followed.

Most importantly, I want to thank our staff and mentors for all the dedication and hard work. They don't have to be here, but they do it because Tallahassee chose them. Thank you -- Christine Urban, Lucas Lindsey, David Teek, Karla Galvan, Courtney Herrmann, Amanda Blood, Matt O' Hagan, Jake Kiker, John Vecchio, David Lawson and the many, many more.

The foundation has been built, but we have a long way to go. The next two to five years are crucial to continue the momentum. We have a lot of exciting things planned that I can't wait to share. We have some incredible startups doing big things. Come out and support them as we embark on this adventure together!
