As a part of the Capital Cascades Trail Segment 3 project, Blueprint Intergovernmental Agency is incorporating a linear skateable art amenity adjacent to the multi-use trail. It will be a signature public art installation that doubles as a skate park enhancing the local community, complementing the area, and serving as an artistic landmark symbolizing creativity and innovation in Tallahassee. The design process will be highly collaborative, following the Blueprint community engagement methodology. Local skaters will provide input regarding the skateable elements for inclusion, and local visionaries and innovators will provide creative direction for the artistic features. The project is currently in its conceptual phase, and at their September 20, 2018 meeting the Intergovernmental Agency Board will review the project for funding allocation and authorization to proceed with requesting proposals for design and construction services.
